Dalit groom in Gujarat’s Sabarkantha locale was flanked by more than 60 police officers during his wedding parade on Saturday. Obviously, the wedding parade bore striking similarity to a police banner walk.
It is astounding to realize that this Dalit groom was no political pioneer. The police cover gave to him to the course of his wedding was authorized by the Deputy Superintendent of Police.
Recently, the lucky man’s family moved toward Sabarkantha DSP DM Chauhan and raised fear that “upper position individuals” may raise a ruckus during the wedding parade.
DSP Chauhan chose to control the feelings of dread of the Dalit husband to be’s family. For this reason, he positioned a group including an agent SP, a police reviewer, seven police sub-monitors and 60 constables across the town to give cover to the wedding parade.
This group of police work force was positioned along the half kilometer course of the parade to guarantee that no untoward episode happens.
“The parade for the wedding of Naresh Vankar’s child Durlabh went off calmly with the help of residents,” Sabarkantha DSP DM Chauhan told news office PTI.
In May of 2019, the wedding parade of a Dalit groom was stopped in Gujarat’s Aravalli area. Police needed to fall back on twirly doo charge to scatter the individuals who held up the wedding parade for more than five hours.
A comparable occurrence was accounted for from Sandipada town in Banaskantha locale of Gujarat in February of a year ago. The wedding parade of a Dalit man was taken out under police security purportedly after ‘upper rank’ residents had a problem with him sitting on a pony and even pelted stones at the wedding party.
